ORGANISATION : Jagatik Marathi Chamber Of Commerce & Industries (JMCCI) is a leading world-wide organization of Marathi speaking Business Community. The JMCCI was founded by Mr. Manohar Joshi (Hon'ble Speaker of Loksabha) and Mr. Chandrakant Salunkhe, Executive President. It was inaugurated at the hands of Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma, the then President of India on 6th February, 1994 at New Delhi. OBJECTIVES : Our main object is to bring together Marathi speaking Business Community from all over the world to improve their business contacts. We provide information and give guidance about the business opportunities available in domestic as well as international markets. The JMCCI also promotes entrepreneurship among young generation . ACTIVITIES : * Identifying and Interacting with potential Business Partners, Buyers, Collaborators, investors in India and abroad and also giving guidance to assist its members in Financial & Business tie-up. * Providing guidelines to Global companies for picking the right out- sourcing partners in India. * Regularly organising one-to-one meetings with trade missions. * Leading business delegations to attend national and international level Business Conferences and to participate in Trade Fairs and Exhibitions. * Interaction and regular meetings with Embassies, High Commissioners, Consul Generals, Trade Commissioners, Organisations and Chambers of various countries representing Trade and Commerce. * Organising meetings and dialogues with the State and Central Government Ministers and Senior officials to discuss and seek solutions for the problems and issues related with various Industries & Trade. * Organising Business Networking-Interaction Meets, Summits, Conventions, Conferences, Seminars and other Meetings on National and International issues. * Rendering specialised services in the fields of Market Research, Product & Services Marketing, Project Reports, Agricultural and Agro-based Industries etc. * Publishing a Bi-monthly Journal to disseminate information of relevance to Industry & Trade. MEMBERSHIP : Membership is open to all sectors of the Industry, Trade and Services i.e. any Individual, Firm, Manufacturing / Trading / Services Company in the Public, Private or Co-operative Sector, Commercial Body, Agriculture, Dairy farms, Financial Institutions and Any Professional. The Membership of JMCCI provides an opportunity for networking and interaction amongst members for promotion of their business. It also provides access to Indian and Foreign dignitaries, diplomats, central and states ministers and government officials. RECOGNITION & REPRESENTATION : * The Chamber is recognised by the Central and State Government as a world-wide representative organisation of Marathi speaking Business Community. It is represented on : * Central Excise Advisory Committees Mumbai (various regions) * High Level Committee of the Chief Commissioner of Customs on Exports, * State Labour Advisory Committee * State Level Udyog Mitra Committee of Government of Maharashtra. * SIDBI Western Regional Advisory Committee * Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Small Industries * Various Central and International level Co-operative Federations. ORGANISATIONAL SETUP : JMCCI has it's Central Office in Mumbai and the Regional offices are in Thane, Pune, Nasik, Kolhapur, Amravati , New Delhi. Overseas offices of JMCCI are in Sydney, Washington D.C & California (L.A.). AFFILIATION : The JMCCI is affiliated to National and International Chambers of Commerce and other Bodies like Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), Indian Merchants' Chamber (IMC) Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce & Industry and World Trade Center, Mumbai. AWARDS : The JMCCI honours the successful entrepreneurs with the National Entrepreneurship Awards, in recognition of their excellent services / contribution to Industries, Business, Trading, Banking, Service and Co-operative sectors. Special Awards are also given to Women Entrepreneurs. SPECIALISED COMMITTEES : Specialised Expert Committees have been setup to provide guidance and advice on various matters and also to give suggestions to the Govt.on related issues. * Small Scale Industries * Taxation, Trade & Commerce * Banking & Finance * International Trade LADIES' WING : The JMCCI has a Ladies' Wing exclusively to give guidance to the existing and up-coming women entrepreneurs.
